Job summary

Hunt St Pty Ltd is looking for an experienced Accountant based in the Philippines to join the client’s team as an independent contractor. You will collaborate with the bookkeeping team to prepare financial reports and tax returns in line with Australian tax law and ATO requirements.

This remote, full-time contractor role requires CPA qualification (or equivalent), strong knowledge of Australian taxation, and proficiency with Xero.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years experience in Australian tax compliance and financial reporting.
• Solid knowledge of Australian tax law and ATO requirements.
• Strong written English and clear communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare business financial reports and tax returns for client base.
• Review tax returns for accuracy and compliance.
• Liaise with bookkeepers to review BAS-prepared financials before taxation.
• Ensure all work complies with Australian tax law and ATO requirements.
• Flag discrepancies or issues with the client director in a timely manner.
