BairesDev is seeking a Container Security Engineer to join a 100% remote global team. You will secure containerized environments and Kubernetes clusters, implementing image scanning, runtime protection, and network policy enforcement with OPA.

The role emphasizes integrating security into CI/CD and GitOps, with a focus on proactive threat detection and incident remediation. Excellent English skills are required for global collaboration.

Qualifications

• 4+ years in Cloud Security or infrastructure engineering.
• Experience securing containerized environments and Kubernetes.
• Hands-on with Falco or Trivy for image scanning.
• Experience defining and enforcing OPA network policies.
• Strong English communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement automated container image scanning and vulnerability management within CI/CD pipelines.
• Deploy and manage runtime protection tools like Falco to monitor for anomalous behavior and unauthorized system calls.
• Enforce Kubernetes network policies and admission controls using OPA to ensure least-privilege access and workload isolation.
• Audit and harden Kubernetes cluster configurations to prevent misconfigurations and unauthorized privilege escalation.
• Collaborate with platform and DevOps teams to integrate security standards into Infrastructure as Code and GitOps workflows.
• Manage the container security incident lifecycle, from real-time detection and alerting to forensic analysis and remediation.
