Job summary

U.S. Construction is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer for site design and drafting, remotely supporting projects from concept through completion. The role emphasizes grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater, earthwork calculations, and construction plan preparation, with architectural drafting and estimating support as part of daily tasks.

You will coordinate with contractors and project teams, create floor plans, elevations, and renderings, and ensure compliance with U.S. standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• 3-5 years of civil engineering experience focused on site design and coordination with U.S. contractors.
• Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater, and utility design.
• Strong AutoCAD proficiency; Civil 3D experience preferred.
• Familiarity with HydroCAD and StormCAD is a plus, with knowledge of U.S. standards.
• Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills; ability to manage multiple projects independently.

Responsibilities

• Prepare civil site plans for self-storage, industrial, and multifamily projects per standards.
• Develop grading, drainage, erosion control, stormwater, and utility plans from surveys.
• Perform drainage, detention/retention, and cut-and-fill calculations.
• Apply value-engineering to reduce sitework and costs.
• Prepare quantity takeoffs and assist with project estimating.
• Create floor plans, layouts, elevations, and basic renderings for mixed-use units.
• Assist with contractor bidding, bid comparisons, permitting, and coordination.
• Provide schedule updates and support multiple active projects.
