Job summary

U.S. Construction is seeking an experienced Civil Engineer for site design and drafting with a remote-friendly setup. The role focuses on grading, drainage, utilities, stormwater design, earthwork calculations and construction plan prep for self-storage, industrial and multifamily projects.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil Engineering degree, 3-5 years of U.S. contractor-facing experience, and strong AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred).

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
3-5 years experience in civil engineering with site design and coordination with U.S. Contractors.
Proficient in AutoCAD; Civil 3D preferred.
Experience with grading, drainage, stormwater, utilities.

Responsibilities

Prepare civil site plans for self-storage, industrial, and multifamily projects in compliance with regulatory standards and project specifications.
Develop grading, drainage, erosion control, stormwater, and utility plans from boundary surveys and topographic maps
Perform drainage, detention/retention, and cut-and-fill calculations.
Apply value-engineering principles to reduce sitework and construction costs.
Prepare quantity takeoffs and assist with project estimating.
Create floor plans, building layouts, elevations, and basic renderings for mixed units in both self-storage and industrial projects.
Assist with contractor bidding, bid comparisons, permitting, and project coordination.
Provide schedule updates and support multiple active projects.
