BruntWork seeks a Canadian Bookkeeping Specialist (QuickBooks Online) to manage day-to-day books for multiple small business clients. The role starts part-time with growth potential and includes integration of AI tools for efficiency, transitioning from hands-on bookkeeping to reviewer and quality controller.

Flexible EST hours (9:00 AM–5:00 PM) with a minimum of 20 hours/week, potential to grow to full-time as client base expands.

Qualificações

• Proven experience in bookkeeping with strong accounting fundamentals.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Online or similar cloud-based accounting platforms.
• Knowledge of Canadian tax systems, including sales tax and corporate tax requirements.
• Demonstrated ability to problem-solve complex accounting issues independently.
• Excellent client communication skills with ability to explain accounting concepts clearly.
• Experience cleaning up messy books and establishing proper accounting processes.
• Availability to work flexible hours within 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time.

Responsabilidades

• Manage daily bookkeeping operations for multiple small business clients using QuickBooks Online.
• Communicate directly with clients to coordinate information gathering and resolve accounting questions.
• Clean up messy books and establish proper accounting processes for new clients.
• Handle Canadian sales tax compliance and corporate tax preparation support.
• Dive into complex accounting problems and apply critical thinking to find solutions.
• Work with Canadian tax specialists to ensure proper tax treatment across client accounts.
• Learn and integrate AI tools into the bookkeeping workflow to improve efficiency.
• Act as reviewer for AI-generated bookkeeping work as the firm's systems evolve.
• Maintain availability during business hours for client coordination and team communication.
• Provide project management support as the role grows and evolves.
