Job summary

Frontline Accounting is seeking a bookkeeper with at least 2 years of public practice experience to ensure accurate day-to-day bookkeeping for our clients. You will manage client ledgers, reconcile accounts and support documentation.

The role supports work-from-home arrangements with AU-hours, requiring reliability, clear communication and the ability to meet tight deadlines while delivering high-quality accounting services.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy or related field.
• 2+ years in public practice (Australian accounting) required.
• Experience with Xero and Xero certification.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Positive 'can do' attitude with excellent communication.
• Stable internet connection for a work-from-home setup.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping: prepare or review client books, record transactions, reconcile accounts.
• Document management: organize and file client documents.
• Manage the entire client GL and resolve discrepancies.
• Verify ledgers and financial statements and correct issues.
• Prepare tax returns: individuals, partnerships, companies, trusts, and SMSFs.
• Prepare BAS and Fringe Benefits Tax Returns.
• Perform reconciliations and provide accounting services as needed.
