Job summary

Frontline Accounting seeks a motivated bookkeeper with at least 2 years of experience in a public accounting practice. The role focuses on ensuring high-quality day-to-day bookkeeping for key clients and requires strong accuracy, communication, and the ability to work autonomously from a home setup.

The candidate will manage client GL, perform reconciliations, prepare tax returns, BAS, and FBT, and assist with document management and reporting to maintain client financial integrity.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field required.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant work experience in public practice or equivalent (Australian Accounting) preferred.
• Xero experience or certification required.
• Ability to work and deliver under pressure and meet deadlines; strong communication skills required.

Responsibilities

• Bookkeeping for clients: record transactions, reconcile accounts, and generate reports.
• Manage client documents and ensure proper filing and organization.
• Oversee the client general ledger and resolve discrepancies.
• Prepare income tax returns for individuals, partnerships, and companies; also prepare BAS and FBT returns.
