Job summary

Office Flex is seeking a capable accountant to handle payroll, bookkeeping, BAS, and Australian tax tasks for multiple clients. You’ll prepare tax returns, trial balances, and journal entries, review prior years, and manage tasks via Trello and CCH iFirm. Strong English communication and independent work ethic are essential.

Remote role with global Australian client exposure. Candidates should be detail-oriented and able to meet tight deadlines while delivering accurate financial information.

Qualifications

• Be able to complete all payroll functions independently on a regular basis for multiple clients
• Be able to complete bookkeeping tasks independently for multiple clients
• Be able to file the BAS report correctly using existing information
• Be able to complete the Individual Tax Return with rental and business schedule and correctly identify and complete the non-financial information without referencing to prior year record
• Be able to prepare trial balance from scratch, using the correct code in chart of account and apply journal entries
• Be able to review prior year/period records or information prepared by other people to identify the major issues
• Be able to use Trello effectively to communicate the work in progress
• Be able to use CCH iFirm independently by creating jobs and entering timesheets promptly and accurately
• Be able to manage time effectively to meet the due date and deadline
• Be able to comminute proactively about the issues encountered and suggested solutions
