Job summary

Hirehawk Recruitment Services is seeking a meticulous Bookkeeper for a remote, long-term role supporting 5–10 client accounts and internal bookkeeping for a growing accounting services client.

You will handle AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations and GL, with a focus on accuracy, timely month-end close, and clear communication with clients and Account Managers.

Experience with QuickBooks Online/Desktop and familiarity with Canadian standards are highly valued; compensation is USD 1,800 per month.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience.
• Strong knowledge of debits, credits and general ledger.
• Practical experience with AP, AR, payroll, reconciliations and GL.
• Strong QuickBooks Online experience; Desktop valuable.
• Excellent English communication with clients.
• Experience with Canadian accounting standards is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Own accurate bookkeeping for an assigned portfolio of 5–10 client accounts and internal company books.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and payroll for clients and internal ops.
• Record cash, AR, AP, inventory, revenue, expenses and other transactions accurately.
• Maintain complete general ledgers across multiple client accounts.
• Perform bank, account and GL reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage invoicing, deposits, collections, coding and revenue recognition.
• Process payroll accurately and on time with related entries.
• Support month-end close and prepare adjusting journal entries.
• Provide financial information to Account Managers to support reporting and decision-making.
• Communicate professionally with clients, vendors and banks.
• Identify opportunities to improve accounting systems and workflows.
