Job summary

ESGpedia is Asia’s leading ESG data and technology company, delivering scalable backend solutions for the ESG fintech industry. We seek a Backend Software Engineer who will design, implement, and optimize Java-based services that power our platform and client experiences.

You will work with Cloud tools (AWS) and modern security practices in a fast-paced, Agile environment, partnering with Customer Success and Product teams to deliver high-impact results.

Qualifications

BS or MS in Computer Science or equivalent degree or experience.
3+ years of software engineering experience.
Experience in Java Spring Boot.
Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (MySQL, Redis, MongoDB).
Experience in ReactJS is a plus.
Familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes.
Strong AWS experience.
Strong adaptability and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Design and implement scalable, high-performance Java backend services.
Write reliable, production-quality code.
Analyze requirements to solve problems with code.
Optimize backend for security, modularity, and efficiency.
Collaborate with cross-disciplinary teams to build a great product.
