Job summary

CodeRoad is seeking an Intermediate Python Backend Engineer (Level 2) to design, build, and maintain high‑performance Python microservices on AWS. You’ll integrate AI capabilities (LLM APIs, Bedrock) and work closely with US stakeholders in an agile setting.

You will anchor backend features, write clean code, and ensure performance, security, and developer efficiency. 2–4 years in backend Python and strong AWS experience are expected.

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of backend Python experience (AsyncIO, FastAPI/Django/Flask, SQLAlchemy).
• 1–2+ years in AWS serverless and containerized services (Lambda, API Gateway, S3, ECS, RDS, DynamoDB).
• Proven experience building RESTful APIs and using Docker and modern Git workflows.
• Practical exposure to AI/GenAI workflows (LLM APIs, LangChain, LlamaIndex, Bedrock).
• Strong relational DB design (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and NoSQL basics.
• Ownership mindset with problem solving and learning.
• Advanced English skills (B2+/C1).
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

• Design and build performant, scalable Python APIs and microservices on AWS.
• Integrate AI capabilities into backend architectures and RAG pipelines.
• Optimize cloud database operations with SQL/NoSQL across RDS and DynamoDB.
• Lead quality standards with TDD, unit and integration tests, and docs.
• Collaborate with US clients and engineers in an agile environment.
• Monitor system health and production telemetry with AWS CloudWatch.
