Job summary

BairesDev is hiring an AV Planning Engineer to develop advanced planning algorithms for autonomous vehicles. You will design motion planning, optimize trajectories with MPC, and deliver real-time software on a remote global team.

You will collaborate with perception and control groups to integrate planning with sensors and hardware, while iterating on planner performance. Strong English and 5+ years in the field are required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience in autonomous vehicles or robotics.
• Proven experience designing planning algorithms (RRT, A*, MPC).
• Proficiency in C++ and real-time trajectory optimization.
• Experience with motion planning under real-time constraints.
• Advanced English skills.

Responsibilities

• Design and implement advanced motion planning algorithms for complex urban navigation.
• Optimize vehicle trajectories using Model Predictive Control (MPC).
• Develop software handling high-frequency real-time constraints on-vehicle.
• Collaborate with perception and control teams to integrate planning with sensors and actuators.
• Refine pathfinding for diverse road participants and edge-case scenarios.
• Analyze data to improve planner performance and decisions.
