SourceU is seeking a CAD Designer to support a NZ-based client with day-to-day design work and accurate, organized drawings. You will modify existing models and drawings using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD, ensure files are fabrication-ready, and uphold design standards.

You’ll join a small, relaxed team working remotely across time zones, with expectations for precise BOMs in Excel, strong communication in English, and independence to manage tasks from concept through to production.

Formación

• Hands-on experience with Autodesk software, including AutoCAD and Inventor.
• Proven 3D modelling experience in Autodesk Inventor.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
• Strong Excel skills for BOMs and costing.
• Excellent written and spoken English for remote collaboration.
• Attention to detail and accuracy.
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Experience with DXF/CNC laser prep is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Modify existing 3D models and drawings (IPT and DWG) to specification.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings accurately.
• Identify design issues and fix model issues.
• Prepare files for laser cutting and machining (PDF/DXF).
• Create BOMs in Excel and coordinate with procurement.
• Log changes in Autodesk Vault or similar system.
• Support new product concepts from sketch to production.
