Boomering Inc in the Philippines is seeking an experienced Australian Accountant to support an Australian client from a remote location. The role focuses on trust returns, company financials, and Australian tax compliance.

You will handle SMSF accounting, learn the client’s SMSF processes, and communicate proactively with the client. This part-time position offers 3 days per week, 8 hours per day, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM PHT, with potential to expand to five days based on performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience as an Australian Accountant.
• Hands-on SMSF experience with ability to explain work performed.
• Experience with BGL is highly desirable.
• Proficient with Xero, MYOB Reporter, and Excel.
• Excellent English communication.
• Able to communicate with Australian clients.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review trust tax returns, company financials, and individual tax returns.
• Handle SMSF accounting work per Australian requirements and the client’s established processes.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements and supporting workpapers.
• Assist with SMSF audit preparation and respond to queries.
• Utilise Xero, BGL, MYOB Reporter, and Excel for accounting and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting in compliance with Australian taxation requirements.
• Review work carefully and proactively identify discrepancies or issues.
• Take ownership of assigned jobs and follow them through to completion.
• Proactively communicate progress, questions, delays, and potential issues.
• Collaborate effectively with the client and internal team to meet agreed deadlines and maintain quality standards.
