Boomering Inc. is seeking an experienced Accountant to join our remote team serving Australian clients. The role focuses on Australian tax, trust returns, company financials, and SMSF accounting with hands-on processes.

The successful candidate will work from home on a part-time basis (3 days/week, 8 hours/day, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM PHT) and may move to 5 days per week based on performance. Strong English communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum 3 years as Australian Accountant.
• Strong experience in trust returns, company financials, and Australian tax accounting.
• Hands-on SMSF experience with ability to explain SMSF work performed.
• Experience with BGL is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Xero, MYOB Reporter, and Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Confident communicating with Australian clients.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Ownership, accountability, and proactive communication are essential.

Position Title: Accountant

Work Set-up: Work from Home

Schedule: Part-Time (3 days per week, 8 hours per day, preferably consecutive days)

Salary: PHP 40,000 - PHP 45,000 per month

Holidays: VIC, Australia

About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced Australian Accountant with a strong background in Australian tax and financial accounting, including trust returns, company financials, and tax compliance.

The successful candidate should have hands-on experience with Self-Managed Superannuation Funds (SMSFs) and a good understanding of SMSF accounting processes. Extensive specialist-level SMSF expertise is not essential; however, candidates must have practical experience and be comfortable learning and following the client’s established SMSF processes.

The ideal candidate is proactive, accountable, detail-oriented, and confident in communicating with an Australian client. As this is a remote position, the successful candidate must be comfortable asking questions, raising concerns early, providing clear updates, and communicating their professional opinion.

Your Responsibilities as an Accountant

• Prepare and review trust tax returns, company financials, and individual tax returns.
• Handle SMSF accounting work in accordance with Australian requirements and the client’s established processes.
• Prepare and analyse financial statements and supporting workpapers.
• Assist with SMSF audit preparation and respond to queries as required.
• Utilise Xero, BGL, MYOB Reporter, and Microsoft Excel for accounting and financial reporting.
• Ensure accurate tax accounting and reporting in compliance with Australian taxation requirements.
• Review work carefully and proactively identify discrepancies or issues.
• Take ownership of assigned jobs and follow them through to completion.
• Proactively communicate progress, questions, delays, and potential issues.
• Collaborate effectively with the client and internal team to meet agreed deadlines and maintain quality standards.

Qualifications as an Accountant

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as an Australian Accountant.
• Strong experience in trust returns, company financials, and Australian tax accounting.
• Hands-on SMSF experience; candidates must be able to explain the SMSF work they have personally completed.
• Experience with BGL is highly desirable.
• Proficiency in Xero, MYOB Reporter, and Microsoft Excel.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Confident communicating directly with Australian clients.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and proactive communication.
• Ability to work independently, ask questions when clarification is required, and meet deadlines.
