Job summary

BJAK is expanding its Android team to build native experiences for millions in Southeast Asia. We are looking for Android engineers who care about clean user flows, performance, and reliable mobile features.

You will own end-to-end Android features using Kotlin, integrate REST APIs, and collaborate with product and design to create simple, powerful financial apps for our users in the Philippines and region.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of Android development with Kotlin.
• Strong Android fundamentals and production apps.
• Experience with Jetpack, Coroutines & Flow.
• Solid mobile UX and user-flow focus.
• Experience integrating REST APIs and debugging issues.
• Fast delivery with high ownership.
• Shipped apps on App stores or GitHub are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship Android features using Kotlin.
• Create clean mobile flows for insurance, payments, claims, renewals and financial services.
• Work with product and design to simplify complex user journeys.
• Integrate backend APIs and ensure mobile flows are stable, secure and reliable.
• Improve app performance, crash rate, loading states and memory usage.
• Use analytics and production issues to improve the product.
• Explore AI-assisted mobile experiences where they genuinely improve the user journey.
