Job summary

Cloudstaff Philippines Inc. is seeking a detail-focused Accountant to handle day-to-day bookkeeping for our brokerage entity, reporting to the Head of Accounting. This role is work-from-home with flexible hours and exposure to multi-currency accounting.

You will manage accounts payable, GL postings, month-end close, and reporting, while maintaining audit-ready records and collaborating with cross-functional teams to improve processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or related field required.
• 2+ years of hands-on accounting or bookkeeping experience, ideally supporting international clients.
• Proficiency in cloud accounting software (Xero, QuickBooks Online or similar).
• Strong Excel / Google Sheets, including lookups and pivots.
• Detail-oriented and methodical, with a habit of checking your own work before it reaches a reviewer.
• Clear written English and proactive communication.

Responsibilities

• Record and code all transactions in the accounting system.
• Process accounts payable: vendor invoices, expense claims, payment run preparation and supporting documentation.
• Maintain schedules for prepayments, accruals, fixed assets and intercompany balances.
• Post recurring journals under the senior accountant's direction.
• Maintain audit-ready records, with supporting documentation attached to every entry.
• Prepare month-end close schedules and supporting workpapers for senior accountant review.
• Assist in preparing quarterly financial statements and annual audited financial statements.
• Prepare recurring management reports: revenue by product, operating costs and expense analysis.
• Support multi-currency accounting, including FX revaluation entries.
• Liaise with internal accounting/operations teams and compile data for reporting.
