We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Accountant to join a dynamic accounting team. This role focuses on Canadian tax compliance, bookkeeping, and financial reporting while managing multiple client

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in private company public accounting.
• Strong knowledge of Canadian corporate and personal taxation.
• Experience with trust and partnership taxation is an asset.
• Proven experience preparing and finalizing corporate financial statements.
• Experience dealing with CRA audits and inquiries.
• Strong knowledge of CRA Online Services.
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and attention-to-detail skills.
• Strong work ethic and ability to work independently as well as collaboratively.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tax returns, including T1, T2, and T3, as well as related tax and regulatory forms such as T4, T5, HST, EHT, and WSIB.
• Prepare and finalize Corporate Financial Compilation Reports.
• Perform bookkeeping activities, including: adjusting journal entries, bank reconciliations, depreciation, income tax accruals, and inter-company reconciliations.
• Assist clients with CRA inquiries and supporting CRA audits or reviews.
• Manage multiple client engagements efficiently, prioritizing workloads and meeting deadlines.
• Contribute to internal workflow management and collaborate with the tax team.
• Proactively identify and resolve engagement issues.
• Maintain accurate and confidential financial and tax information.
