Job summary

MicroSourcing is seeking a skilled 3D Designer (Offshore) to convert 2D drawings into robust 3D models for manufacturing. The role focuses on façade components, cladding, and support systems using SolidWorks, with Inventor or Solid Edge as beneficial skills.

Work-from-home with a mid shift is offered to support offshore collaboration. The ideal candidate has at least five years of sheet metal manufacturing experience, strong CAD capabilities in 2D AutoCAD and 3D CAD, and familiarity with ERP

Qualifications

• Five+ years of experience in sheet metal manufacturing.
• Proficiency in 2D AutoCAD and 3D CAD software, particularly SolidWorks.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and Microsoft Office tools.
• Strong attention to detail when interpreting drawings and documenting measurements.

Responsibilities

• Convert 2D drawings into approved 3D models with standard components and fixing arrangements.
• Model façade components and support systems in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks preferred).
• Assemble 3D models to identify clashes and ensure proper alignment with other components.
• Create 3D models of cladding panels, metal fabrication, and support brackets for manufacturing use.
• Prepare manufacturing packs with drawings, BOMs, and cutting lists.
• Generate parts lists, BOMs, and fixing lists for modeled components.
• Verify measurements to support accurate production.
• Ensure customer order data is accurately transferred into production-ready docs.
• Help reduce processing time and manufacturing errors through precise modeling.
