Job summary

Hammerjack Pty Ltd is seeking a Mechanical 3D CAD Designer to translate the founder's vision into accurate, editable models and production drawings. You will handle complex assemblies, fit issues, and simple layout tasks, with mentorship sessions from the founder totaling 10 hours per week.

The role focuses on SLA/SLS 3D printing, sheet-metal fabrication, and CNC machining, supporting rapid prototyping and production-ready outputs in a remote setting spanning SA and Philippines.

Qualifications

• Proficient in 3D CAD design for mechanical assemblies.
• Strong understanding of part geometry, tolerances, and fit.
• Experience with CAD data management and drafting.
• Willingness to learn AI-assisted design tools.

Responsibilities

• Create and iterate brackets, mounts, covers, adapters and enclosures.
• Resolve mounting arrangements and define clearances.
• Prepare production-ready CAD files and drawings for SLA/SLS and CNC processes.
• Identify and address design-for-manufacture issues early.
• Iterate designs based on prototype feedback and testing.
