Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking a QA/QC Engineer in the Philippines to design quality standards and inspect materials, equipment, processes, and products. The role involves developing QC systems and determining corrective actions to ensure consistent quality across construction projects.

You must be willing to relocate to any of our project sites. The position requires 5+ years in large infrastructure and onsite QA/QC experience, with a focus on concrete mix-design and pre-stressing works,

Qualifications

• Licensed Engineer with 5+ years of relevant experience in large infrastructure projects.
• Preferably with Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification.
• Minimum 5 years of onsite construction quality assurance and construction safety surveillance experience on a commercial or military infrastructure project.
• Demonstrated experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and experience in different classes of concrete mix-design.
• Excellent English in written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment work.
• Ensure quality procedures including inspection time limits, sampling and testing of works and QA/QC requirements.
• Oversee and manage quality assessment of materials through laboratory tests.
• Review technical specifications and recommend standard construction specifications for items of works.
• Review test forms, QA testing schedules and procedures; evaluate results.
• Review contractor practices and suggest remedial actions where needed.
• Collaborate with project engineers and design consultants to establish inspection/testing procedures.
• Conduct survey queries on material sources to ensure quality and value.
