Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking a QA/QC Engineer to design quality standards, inspect materials and processes, and develop control systems for large infrastructure projects. Willingness to relocate to project sites is required.

The role involves preparing QA/QC plans, overseeing laboratory tests, reviewing specifications, and ensuring compliance with quality procedures across all works. Excellent English and a valid driver’s license are essential.

Qualifications

• Licensed engineer with at least 5 years of relevant experience in large infrastructure projects.
• Preferably Construction Quality Management (CQM) certification for Contractors.
• Minimum 5 years of onsite construction quality assurance and construction safety surveillance on commercial or military projects.
• Experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and in different concrete mix-design under varying conditions.
• Excellent English in written and spoken form.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment work.
• Ensure QA/QC procedures with time limits for inspection, sampling and testing of works and other QA/QC requirements.
• Oversee and manage quality assessment of materials through laboratory tests.
• Review technical specifications and recommend standard construction specs for all items of works.
• Review standard test forms and QA testing schedules; evaluate results accordingly.
• Review contractor practices and remedial actions; provide recommendations.
• Collaborate with project engineers and design consultants to establish procedures with time limits for inspection, sampling and testing.
• Conduct initial source surveys for materials, ensuring quality and value for the project.
• Perform other responsibilities as appropriate.
