Job summary

Planate Management Group is seeking a QA/QC Engineer willing to relocate to project sites in the Philippines. The role focuses on designing quality standards, inspecting materials, equipment, processes and products, and developing QA/QC systems to ensure high standards across construction projects.

The successful candidate will oversee laboratory testing, review specifications, and work with engineers and consultants to implement QA/QC procedures, with a requirement for strong English

Qualifications

• Licensed engineer with minimum 5 years of experience in large infrastructure projects.
• Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certification is preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of onsite construction quality assurance and safety surveillance experience on commercial or military infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrated experience in pre-stressing works and quality control, and concrete mix-design under varying construction conditions.
• Excellent English in written and verbal communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Prepare QA/QC plans for new construction and refurbishment work.
• Establish QA procedures including inspection timelines, sampling and testing of works and other QA/QC requirements.
• Oversee and manage the quality assessment of materials through laboratory tests.
• Review technical specifications and standard construction specifications for items of works.
• Review standard test forms, QA testing schedules and procedures and evaluate results.
• Review contractor practices and recommend remedial actions.
• Collaborate with project engineers and design consultants on QA/QC procedures and testing timelines.
• Conduct initial survey queries on material sources ensuring quality and value for the project.
• Perform other duties as appropriate.
