The Opportunity

We’re looking for a talented and driven Reinsurance Junior Specialist to join our Reinsurance Operations team within the Actuarial Function at MGS. This role provides an exciting opportunity to build expertise in reinsurance operations while supporting a wide range of policy administration and claims-related activities for Asia business units. You will work with reinsured policies, treaty administration, billing, and death claim reimbursement processes while collaborating with global stakeholders across the insurance value chain. As part of a growing actuarial and insurance operations organization, you will gain exposure to reinsurance products, policy servicing, operational controls, and end-to-end transaction management. This role is well suited for professionals looking to develop specialized knowledge in reinsurance while building a long-term career within a global financial services organization. Position Responsibilities


  • Process policy maintenance activities, including policy changes, billing requests, treaty administration, and customer inquiries related to reinsured policies.

  • Handle death claim reimbursement transactions and ensure timely and accurate processing in accordance with established procedures.

  • Manage treaty block ownership activities and support the administration of reinsured business portfolios.

  • Investigate and resolve complex policy administrative issues and operational exceptions.

  • Review and respond to email inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.

  • Maintain accuracy, quality, and compliance standards across all assigned transactions.

  • Support process improvement initiatives and contribute to operational efficiency within the team.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, Actuarial Science, Accounting, or a related discipline.

  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in insurance, reinsurance, financial services, or business process operations.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including professional business correspondence.

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

  • Ability to manage high-volume workloads while maintaining quality and accuracy.

  • Knowledge of insurance or reinsurance operations, including policy administration, product setup, claims processing, or customer servicing.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team environment.

  • Adaptable and capable of managing changing business priorities.

  • Amenable to working a morning-shift schedule and hybrid work arrangement (3 days onsite in Quezon City).


Preferred Qualifications


  • Experience supporting life insurance or reinsurance administration processes.

  • Exposure to claims processing, policy servicing, billing, or treaty administration.

  • Experience working with operational controls, quality assurance, or process improvement initiatives.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other business applications.

  • Experience working with global stakeholders and cross-functional teams.
