About the role:
This role involves promoting and selling over-the-counter medical products, instructing patients on proper administration and use of medicines, and dispensing medications following prescriptions issued by authorized medical practitioners.
Key responsibilities:
Promote and sell over-the-counter medical products and instruct patients on the proper administration and use of these medicines
Prepare orders and fill prescription forms
Dispense drugs and conduct counselling for customers
Order and store medicines, ensuring they are kept safe, pure, and effective
Dispense medications following prescriptions issued by an authorized medical practitioner
Oversee the performance of packaging, labelling, measuring, compounding, storing, charging and recording medications used in patient care
Review prescriptions for appropriateness of therapy to determine ingredients needed and ensure correct dosage
Ensure compliance of stores to all pertinent statutory and regulatory bodies
Maintain records of FDA Inspection reports and permits issued by government agencies
Maintain and monitor License to Operate validity
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a Licensed Pharmacist (Board Passer)
At least one (1) year of related work experience in a retail drugstore is preferred
Knowledge or experience in Point-of-Sales (POS) systems is an advantage
