Qualifications

• Bachelor of Pharmacy is required and must be licensed as a pharmacist.

• Experience in retail drugstore settings is preferred but not required.

About the role:

This role involves promoting and selling over-the-counter medical products, instructing patients on proper administration and use of medicines, and dispensing medications following prescriptions issued by authorized medical practitioners.

Key responsibilities:

• Promote and sell over-the-counter medical products and instruct patients on the proper administration and use of these medicines

• Prepare orders and fill prescription forms

• Dispense drugs and conduct counselling for customers

• Order and store medicines, ensuring they are kept safe, pure, and effective

• Dispense medications following prescriptions issued by an authorized medical practitioner

• Oversee the performance of packaging, labelling, measuring, compounding, storing, charging and recording medications used in patient care

• Review prescriptions for appropriateness of therapy to determine ingredients needed and ensure correct dosage

• Ensure compliance of stores to all pertinent statutory and regulatory bodies

• Maintain records of FDA Inspection reports and permits issued by government agencies

• Maintain and monitor License to Operate validity

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy and a Licensed Pharmacist (Board Passer)

• At least one (1) year of related work experience in a retail drugstore is preferred

• Knowledge or experience in Point-of-Sales (POS) systems is an advantage
