About the role

A Registered Pharmacist (RPh) is a licensed healthcare professional responsible for the safe, accurate, and effective distribution of medications. They evaluate prescriptions, dispense drugs, counsel patients on proper usage, and collaborate closely with physicians and other medical personnel to optimize patient care therapies.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate prescriptions for accuracy, legality, dosage correctness, and authenticity.
• Review patient medical histories to cross-reference allergies, existing conditions, and concurrent therapies to mitigate drug interactions or adverse reactions.
• Verify final filled prescriptions before they leave the pharmacy area to guarantee exact pill counts, labeling accuracy, and proper packaging.
• Counsel patients on how to safely take medications, outlining correct dosages, timing, potential side effects, and strict storage conditions.
• Administer routine immunizations and clinical vaccinations, such as flu shots or travel vaccines.
• Conduct basic health screenings for the public, measuring blood sugar levels, cholesterol, and blood pressure.
• Advise on minor ailments and guide customers toward appropriate over the counter (OTC) products or refer them to medical practitioners when necessary.
• Manage drug inventory controls, directing safe procurement, climate-controlled storage, and regular audit of all pharmaceutical stocks.
• Maintain legally binding medical logs, patient profiles, and internal control records for controlled substances.
• Supervise and train pharmacy assistants ensuring compliance with strict healthcare standards.

Qualifications

• Registered Pharmacist (RPh) with a valid PRC license.
• Exceptional attention to detail, strong ethical judgment, and excellent communication skills to connect effectively with diverse patients, clients, and healthcare teams.
• Willing to be assigned to Antipolo City, Rizal.
