Job summary

APPLEONE PROPERTIES INC. is seeking a qualified Pharmacist for our Palompon, Leyte location. The role involves reviewing prescriptions, preparing medicines, and ensuring accuracy and safety in dispensing.

The pharmacist will maintain records for controlled substances, oversee inventory, and enforce compliance with regulatory requirements while supporting trainees and ensuring excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Reviews and prepares prescriptions issued by the Physician, or other authorized prescriber to assure accuracy, appropriateness of medication, and determine formulas and ingredients needed.
• Completes pharmacy operational requirements by organizing and verifying their preparation and labeling of pharmaceuticals upon dispensing.
• Monitoring and maintaining records for controlled substances; removing outdated and damaged drugs from the pharmacy inventory.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations of a dispensing pharmacy.
• Evaluates department staff performance.
• Monitor closely the sales and pharmacy business operation.
• Answers questions and provides information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage and storage of pharmaceuticals.
• Maintains established procedures concerning quality assurance, security of controlled substances, and disposal of drugs designated as hazardous waste.
• Enters data such as patient name, prescribed medication and cost, to maintain pharmacy files, charge system, and inventory. Follows FIFO policy.
• Responsible for updating the prescription book and Senior Citizen logbook.
• Prepare receiving report of invoices and credit memos of returned medicines and post in the system.
• Receives and check the drugs and supplies issued by the stockroom clerk.
• Handles regulatory & licensing compliance essential for pharmacy business operation.
• Assist in giving examination and evaluation to the on-the-job trainees / Interns.
