Job summary

Private Advertiser is seeking a seasoned Sourcing Manager to lead sourcing management activities across sites within the account. The role focuses on developing, approving, and implementing sourcing strategies while managing areas of responsibility and process knowledge.

You will drive standardization, lead category strategies, and serve as the subject matter expert for the category. Collaboration with stakeholders is essential to align requirements, spend, demand and supplier performance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of detailed knowledge and experience in sourcing/supply management.
• Professional knowledge of procurement principles and approach including category and sourcing management.
• Sound knowledge of corporate regulations and legislation to ensure binding contracts.
• Demonstrated client relationship skills and ability to influence decisions.
• Demonstrated people management skills and team leadership ability.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Self-motivation, commercial awareness and adaptability.

Responsibilities

• Deliver savings commitments through projects and rate negotiations.
• Manage supplier spend to meet baseline targets including glide path savings.
• Deliver sourcing plans consistently and manage the RFx process.

Job description

This role is responsible for all the sourcing management activities across all sites or in-scope region within the account. You will develop, get approval and ensure implementation of the sourcing strategies and manage areas of sourcing responsibility and process knowledge.

Key responsibilities

• Drive standardization, streamline processes and create consistency within the account sourcing management activities
• Support the development of the category strategies and lead sourcing plans and the implementation of those strategies
• Serve as the subject matter expert for the category area and maintain and develop this knowledge
• Work closely with key stakeholders to ensure the collation of category requirements including service requirement, spend, demand and supplier performance
• Be the main point of contact in the resolution of escalated supplier issues and ensure appropriate supplier management and performance metrics have been agreed
• Design sourcing plans and deliver those strategies directly or indirectly as business requires
• Deliver savings commitment through project execution and rate negotiations
• Manage supplier spend to achieve baseline targets including glide path savings
• Deliver sourcing plans in a consistent way and manage the RFx

About you

• Minimum 5 to 7 years of detailed knowledge and experience in specific area of expertise, including marketplace, key drivers and levers, supply base and balance of power
• Professional knowledge of procurement principles and approach including category and sourcing management
• Sound knowledge of corporate regulations and legislation to ensure creation of effective and binding group contracts
• Demonstrated superior client relationship skills - able to interact face to face with external clients and influence decision making
• Demonstrated superior people management skills - ability to lead and manage team to deliver effective results
• Strong communicator with good presentation skills and strong verbal and written communication skills
