Job summary

JAM Seafoods Inc. is seeking a hands-on Refrigeration Technician/Supervisor to lead a team and ensure reliable operation of industrial refrigeration systems within our processing facility.

The role requires 3–5 years of refrigeration experience, 1–2 years in a supervisory capacity, and strong knowledge of electrical controls, PLCs, and preventive maintenance. Experience with blast freezers, cold rooms, and food-processing HVAC systems is highly valued.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years hands-on experience in industrial/commercial refrigeration.
• 1–2 years supervisory or team-leader experience.
• Experience with preventive and corrective maintenance of refrigeration equipment.
• Ability to read refrigeration, electrical, mechanical and piping diagrams.
• Knowledge of refrigerants such as R404A, R507, R134a, R410A, R32, ammonia (NH₃), or CO₂ is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Lead refrigeration technicians and oversee preventive and corrective maintenance programs in the facility.
• Maintain cold storage systems, blast freezers, chillers and ice plants.

Job description

Minimum Requirements

Candidate must have at least 3–5 years of hands‑on experience in industrial/commercial refrigeration, with a minimum of 1–2 years supervisory experience. Must have strong troubleshooting skills, knowledge of refrigeration and electrical control systems, and demonstrated ability to lead refrigeration technicians and implement preventive and corrective maintenance programs.

Educational Requirements

• TESDA certification in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning (RAC) NCII is required
• Graduate of a Vocational course in Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is an advantage

Work Experience

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in industrial/commercial refrigeration.
• At least 1–2 years in a supervisory or team‑leader role.
• Experience with cold storage, blast freezer, chiller, ice plant, or food‑processing refrigeration systems is highly preferred.
• Experience in preventive and corrective maintenance of refrigeration equipment.
