Job summary

Excellence Appliance Repair is growing and seeks a full-time recruiter to build our technician team across multiple U.S. markets. You will own candidates from first contact through the first day, while proactively finding more technicians.

You’ll screen, explain the opportunity, schedule technical interviews, and coordinate offers and background checks. Strong English, sales skills, and the ability to engage candidates on the phone are essential.

Qualifications

• Strong communication and selling of opportunities.
• Experience in recruiting or blue-collar roles is helpful but not required.
• Comfortable talking to people for long periods and managing follow-ups.

Responsibilities

• Contact new applicants quickly and conduct screening calls (10–15 min).
• Understand candidate experience, availability, and motivation.
• Explain and sell the opportunity at Excellence Appliance Repair.
• Decide who moves to technical interview and schedule it with the Technical Manager.
• Follow up with candidates to reduce no-shows and keep them engaged.
• Source additional candidates through Indeed, LinkedIn, Facebook groups and referrals.
• Re-engage good candidates from the database and coordinate offers and paperwork.
• Coordinate background and driving record checks and maintain recruiting pipeline data.

Excellence Appliance Repair is growing across multiple U.S. markets, and we're looking for a full-time recruiter to help us build our technician team.

This is not a traditional HR role. Your main goal is simple: find good appliance repair technicians, get them interested in joining our company, and move them through the hiring process.

We already generate a steady flow of inbound candidates. You'll own those candidates from the first contact through their first day at work, while also proactively finding additional technicians.

What you'll do

• Contact new applicants quickly and conduct 10–15 minute screening calls
• Understand candidates experience, expectations, availability, and motivation
• Clearly explain and sell the opportunity at Excellence Appliance Repair
• Decide which candidates should move to a technical interview
• Schedule technical interviews with our Technical Manager
• Follow up with candidates and reduce interview no-shows
• Source additional candidates through Indeed, LinkedIn, Facebook groups, referrals, and other channels
• Re-engage good candidates from our existing database
• Send offers and coordinate recruiting-related paperwork
• Coordinate background and driving record checks
• Keep candidates engaged until their first day
• Track why candidates drop out or decline offers
• Maintain accurate recruiting pipeline data

You do not need to evaluate advanced technical appliance-repair skills. Our Technical Manager handles the technical interview and makes the technical assessment.

What we're looking for

You should be comfortable spending a significant part of your day talking to people.

Strong spoken English is required. You should be confident on the phone, organized, persistent with follow-ups, and comfortable selling an opportunity rather than simply asking candidates a list of questions.

Previous recruiting experience is helpful, especially recruiting technicians, tradespeople, or other blue-collar positions, but it is not required. We can teach our recruiting process to someone with strong communication and sales skills.

How we measure success

Your main metric will be successful technicians hired who are still with the company after 90 days.

We will also track the recruiting funnel: applicants screening calls technical interviews offers accepted offers starts 30-day retention 90-day retention.

This is a full-time remote position supporting technician hiring across multiple U.S. markets.

Monthly salary: $1,500–$2,500 USD.
