Job summary

Steadfast Group Limited in Taguig is seeking an experienced Recoveries Specialist to join our Finance and Technologies teams. You will manage recoveries across a portfolio of claims and work with internal and external stakeholders to maximise returns.

Ideal candidates have 2+ years in general insurance recoveries (Motor or Property), strong communication, and solid computer skills. We offer hybrid work, competitive salary, and opportunities for career growth.

Qualifications

• ANZIIF General Insurance Code of Practice completed.
• Proficient literacy, numeracy, written and oral communication.

Responsibilities

• End to end management of recoveries within a portfolio of claims.

ABOUT THE ROLE

Due to growth continued growth within our client base, we are seeking an experienced Recoveries Specialist to come on board and join our supportive, collaborative, and hardworking team. Ideally you will come from a similar role and will have within a recoveries function.

Responsibilities

Claim Lifecycle

• End to end management of recoveries within a portfolio of claims.
• Communicate with all stakeholders (internal and external) effectively and efficiently.
• Negotiate the recovery of claims (both insured and uninsured).
• Investigation of third parties whereabouts.
• Focus on the timely recovery of monies whilst at the same time maximising the recovery potential.
• Ensure the appropriate recording of work via relevant systems and processes.
• Ad-hoc administration and other team support as required.
• Set reserves and raise payments within scope of authority, settling matters in the most cost-effective manner, and ensure timely issuance of disbursements - while understanding how GST and ITC impact those payments.
• Support the integration of a clear, data-driven operational management approach (Enlighten).
• Address a range of matters raised by customers to support the provision of a high standard of customer service, including investigating, responding to, and escalating any client issues accordingly.
• Be proficient in the company complaints handling process, and manage complex liability matters .

TECHNICAL SKILLS & COMPETENCIES

Specific skillset and experience in managing a recoveries portfolio such as:

• Knowledge of legal and court processes
• Ability to work autonomously
• Excellent organisational and time management skills
• Work within a delegated authority of $100,000 ensuring recoveries are managed effectively within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) and GICOP timeframes.
• Broad knowledge of insurance industry, regulatory & compliance environment and claims processes including recoveries
• Maintain knowledge of insurance guidelines, and policy changes and modifications, recommending changes to Company procedures as required.

HARD SKILLS

• Use in-house applications and platforms, such as Wilbur Claims Manager.
• Intermediate understanding of Microsoft suite.
• Action incoming and outgoing emails and call within agreed time frames.

SOFT SKILLS

• Actively liaise with policyholders and third party.
• Promote teamwork by working cooperatively with, assisting, and sharing knowledge and skills with fellow colleagues to build a learning environment.
• Identify opportunities to improvement the performance of the role.

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• 2 plus years previous experience in managing end-to-end general insurance recoveries– either Motor, or Property
• Satisfactory completion of the ANZIIF General Insurance Code of Practice. (Is an advantage).
• Proficient literacy, numeracy, written and oral communication skills.
• Intermediate computer skills.
• Possesses skills for independent and qualitative task completion with satisfactory time management and organisational skills, and attention to detail.
• Works effectively in a team environment.
• Able to adhere to business process, key performance indicators and timelines in a data-driven operational environment (Enlighten).
• A strong focus on exceptional customer service with a genuine desire to help people.
• Strong literacy, analytical, numeracy/data, and written and oral communication skills.
