As a Rad Tech, you will operate diagnostic imaging equipment to assist physicians in accurately diagnosing and treating patients, all while ensuring the highest standards of patient care and radiation safety.
Patient Care & Preparation: Prepare and position patients accurately for various imaging procedures (X-ray, Ultrasound, CT Scan, etc., depending on experience/training). Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and ensure cooperation.
Imaging Operation: Operate diagnostic imaging equipment efficiently to produce high-quality radiographs.
Radiation Safety: Strictly follow radiation safety protocols and ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) principles to protect patients, staff, and yourself.
Documentation & Workflow: Maintain accurate patient records, log imaging procedures, and encode data into the hospital/clinic information system.
Equipment Maintenance: Perform routine checks on imaging equipment, report any malfunctions immediately, and maintain a clean, sterilized work environment.
Collaboration: Coordinate closely with radiologists, attending physicians, and nursing staff to ensure a seamless healthcare delivery process.
Education: Bachelor of Science in Radiologic Technology (BSRT).
License: Must be a Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with a valid Professional Regulation Commission (PRC) license. Open to recent board passers.
