Michael Page International Recruitment Philippines in Makati is seeking an experienced accountant to manage journal entries, intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and closing activities in a shared services environment. The role emphasizes accuracy, controls, and timely reporting.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance, CPA is preferred, with 3–4 years of relevant experience and strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS.

• CPA or equivalent certification is preferred.
• Minimum 3-4 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a shared services environment.
• Experience in general accounting, intercompany accounting, or treasury-related transactions.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles (GAAP/IFRS).
• Proficiency in using accounting software (e.g. SAP. Nice to have: Kyriba, Blackline) and Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Excel, Word).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Fluent English language communication skills required.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Can work mid-shift.

Responsabilidades

• Responsible for preparation and posting journal entries including but not limited to intercompany drawdowns, repayments and settlements between entities.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring the accuracy of journal entries, account balances, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Nice-to-have experience in managing intercompany loans, including interest rate calculations, tracking maturity dates, and monitoring repayment terms
• Ensure data integrity and prepare financial information as required, in accordance with expected accuracy, timelines and accessibility.
• Perform monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
• Perform account reconciliations, including bank reconciliations, balance sheet accounts, etc., and resolve the reconciling items promptly.
• Maintaining accountability for the standard chart of accounts and for the preparation of account analysis/reconciliations on a timely basis.
• Maintain supporting documentation including loan agreements, payment confirmations and approval records.
• Support internal and external audits.
• Initiate and support continuous improvement initiatives.
