RELX International is seeking an accounting professional to perform general accounting activities, analyze and record transactions, and ensure the integrity of accounting records. The role focuses on delivering efficient R2R processes to meet high-quality standards.

Responsibilities include general ledger, intercompany accounting, fixed assets, and external reporting, with emphasis on journal entries, close monitoring, depreciation, and month-end reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related course.
• 1–2 years of experience in Record-to-Report or General Accounting.
• Experience with ERPs (SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft); PC proficient – strong Excel (advanced) skills, Word, PowerPoint; MS Access and Project a plus.
• Logical thinker with a mindset for process improvements.
• Able to thrive in a fast-paced setting; able to multi-task, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and prioritization skills.
• Good interpersonal skills; ability to work with a diverse group of people.
• Strong technical and analytical skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Must have stakeholder management experience.
• Must be independent yet a strong team player.
• Ability to quickly learn and apply enterprise AI tools and technologies to support technical workflows and business objectives.

Responsabilités

• General Ledger: Preparing and recording journal entries; monitoring close process; reviewing trial balances; reconciling balance sheet accounts.
• Intercompany Accounting: Settlement of intercompany transactions; balance confirmation; mismatch analysis; transfer pricing.
• Fixed Accounting: Recording depreciation and disposition of fixed assets.
• External Reporting: Retention archiving; audit support; research on local and international accounting issues; month-end reports.

Job Summary

Shall be responsible in performing general accounting activities, including the preparation, analyzing, and recording of accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records. Shall be accountable for delivering efficient and effective operations of R2R processes in scope to high quality standards that meet/ exceed key objectives and service levels.

Accountabilities

General Ledger

• Preparing and recording of journal entries


• Monitoring of the close process at unit and company levels


• Reviewing and analysis of account and unit-level trial balances


• Performing reconciliation of balance sheet accounts and related bank statements

Intercompany Accounting

• Settlement of Intercompany transactions


• Perform Balance confirmation and Mismatch Analysis


• Transfer Pricing

Fixed Accounting

• Recording of newly acquired fixed assets (tangibles and intangibles)


• Recording of depreciation


• Accounting for the disposition of fixed assets

External Reporting

• Performing record retention archiving and audit support specific to accounting and external reporting


• Researching of local and international accounting issues and briefing of new pronouncements


• Month-End Reports/ Adhoc task/reporting

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree holder in Accounting, Finance or related course


• Must have at least 1-2 years of experience in Record-to Report or General Accounting


• Experience with ERPs (e.g. SAP, Oracle, PeopleSoft); PC proficient – strong experience with Microsoft Excel (advanced excel skills a plus), Word, PowerPoint; experience with MS Access and Project is a plus
