About the job
Purpose of the Position
Ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of Linde’s financial data while driving efficiency and compliance with generally accepted accounting standards.
Manages a team dedicated to streamlining month-end close activities, general ledger management, account reconciliations, and assist in statutory reporting and compliance, while ensuring alignment with Linde Accounting Policy and generally accepted accounting principles.
Principal Responsibilities
Ensure adherence to LBSC operational controls, business controls (SOD), and SOX compliance
Accountable for the Issue Resolution process, communication of corrective actions, and mistake proofing.
Provide information on process and services that can be delivered from the Solutions Delivery Center
Provide information required to the completion of Internal and External Benchmark activity.
Ensure that daily operations are performed in a timely and accurate manner, in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles by reviewing the work performed by the team.
Ensure process documentation completeness and annual review is in place.
Develop and apply the back-up framework, Business Continuity plan for the team.
Support the development and evaluation of the Process Improvement Framework.
Lead Process Improvement Implementation, Analytics, Solution Design, Realization and Optimization initiatives.
Support Business-Partner initiated System Implementations and improvements
Required Qualifications / Experience
Graduate of Bachelor of Science in Accountancy
CPA or any related certification is required
Master’s degree in business or finance is an advantage
8+ years’ work experience with at least 3 years spent in RTR function (general accounting, month-end closing, intercompany accounting and fixed assets accounting)
3 years’ experience in leading a team in a shared services set up is an advantage
SAP experience is required, Hyperion reporting experience is desired
