Job summary

Harbour City Dimsum House Co., Inc. in the Philippines seeks a Research & Development Specialist to drive product innovation from concept to launch. You will develop new formulations, conduct trials, and optimize taste, cost, and shelf life while ensuring compliance with GMP and HACCP standards.

You will collaborate with Production, QA, and Marketing to translate market insights into scalable products and maintain thorough documentation of formulations and test results for regulatory readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology or related field.
• 1–3 years in product development or R&D (food industry preferred).
• Knowledgeable in food safety standards (GMP, HACCP).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
• Creative, detail-oriented, and results-driven; good communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and formulate new products based on market trends and business requirements.
• Conduct product testing, trials, and evaluations to ensure quality and consistency.
• Improve existing products in terms of taste, cost-efficiency, and shelf life.
• Perform research on raw materials, ingredients, and competitor products.
• Prepare and maintain accurate documentation of formulations, processes, and test results.
• Ensure compliance with food safety standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
• Collaborate with Production, Quality Assurance, and Marketing teams for product launch and improvement.
• Monitor product performance and recommend enhancements based on feedback.
• Assist in scaling up products from laboratory to production level.
• Manage timelines and resources for multiple R&D projects.
