Job summary

Level Up Talent Solutions is seeking an R&D Specialist / Product Development Specialist in Manila, Philippines. The role focuses on supporting a pre-operational technical development program for a new food ingredient project, preparing samples, prototypes, and ingredients for bench and pilot trials.

The candidate will record observations, manage retained samples, and maintain clear documentation for the R&D and Feasibility Manager.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Chemistry, Biology, Agriculture, Culinary Science or closely related field.
• 3–5 years in food F&D; product development, QA, lab work, ingredient handling, or pilot trial support.
• Exposure to puree processing, IQF handling, frozen ingredients, drying trails, sauces or beverages.
• Knowledge of food chemistry, ingredient functionality, pH, moisture, water activity, texture, color, heat effects, shelf-life indicators.
• Familiarity with GMP, sanitation, lab safety and organizing R&D workspace.

Responsibilities

• Support pre-operational R&D activities for a new food ingredient project.
• Prepare samples, prototypes, and ingredients for lab, bench-scale and pilot trials.
• Execute trials, record observations, and maintain accurate documentation.
• Organize retained samples, lab records, trial worksheets and dispatch files.
• Assist in evaluating product quality and trial results to support development and feasibility.
• Follow established procedures, food safety standards, and sanitation practices.
