Job summary

Mitsukoshi Motors Philippines Inc. in Quezon City on-site is seeking a Mechanical/Industrial Engineer with 3-5 years’ experience in the motorcycle spare parts industry for a full-time role.

The candidate will research new parts, evaluate supplier samples, conduct fitment and performance tests, and establish quality standards while coordinating with QA, Purchasing, and Sales teams. Strong knowledge of local motorcycle models and OEM specs is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years' experience in motorcycle spare parts industry with R&D, QA, and supplier testing.
• Hands-on knowledge of engine, drive, electrical, and rubber parts.
• Strong knowledge of Philippines motorcycle models and part cross-referencing.
• Ability to read OEM specs, evaluate interchangeability, and document results.
• Proficiency in Excel for costing and reporting; capable of technical writing.

Responsibilities

• Research new motorcycle spare parts for development.
• Evaluate and test supplier samples: fitment, performance, durability, specs, reports.
• Recommend approval, revision, or rejection of products.
• Establish quality standards for spare parts.
• Monitor defects and field complaints; coordinate with QA, Purchasing, Sales.
• Maintain product master list and revisions; meet timelines.

Qualification

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, Automotive or Industrial Technology or equivalent industry experience may substitute formal education.
• 3–5 years’ experience in motorcycle spare parts industry involving:
  • Product research and development
  • Quality inspection and testing
  • Product compatibility analysis
• Hands‑on experience with:
  • Engine parts (piston kits, valves, gaskets)
  • Drive parts (chain, sprocket, clutch)
  • Electrical parts (CKP, stator, CDI, regulators)
  • Rubber & consumables (oil seals, hoses, tires)
• Strong knowledge of:
  • Motorcycle models in the Philippines - Underbone, Scooter, Backbone, Tricycle
  • Part numbering and cross-reference
  • Material types (steel, aluminum, rubber, copper)
• Ability to:
  • Read and compare OEM specifications
  • Identify interchangeability / compatibility
  • Evaluate performance and durability
  • Microsoft Excel (costing, comparison, compatibility)
  • Word / Google Docs (reports, specs)
• Familiar with:
  • Measuring tools (vernier caliper, micrometer)
  • Basic testing equipment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Detail-oriented and methodical
