Job summary

Kawasaki Motors (Phils.) Corporation in Muntinlupa is seeking a Production Engineering Staff to conduct technical visits to local vendors, design jigs and fixtures, and set up standard operating procedures for new motorcycle models. You will help prepare production layouts, process flows, and efficiency improvements across tooling and manufacturing steps.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering, with knowledge of AutoCAD and MS Office, and strong communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
• Registered Mechanical Engineer is a plus.
• Knowledge of motorcycle manufacturing and processes preferred.
• Proficient with AutoCAD, jigs/tools/die design, and MS Office.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Conduct technical visit/audit at local vendors or suppliers.
• Design jigs and fixtures, customized machines for motorcycle assembly.
• Establish SOPs for machines, equipment and processes.
• Prepare operation standards before new models and update existing ones.
• Study production requirements and optimize layout and process flow.
• Analyze jigs, tools, molds and dies to improve productivity and efficiency.
• Apply statistical quality control and reliability engineering.
• Assist production line with technical problems affecting operations.
• Support R&D with tooling stage development and trials.

Job description

Kawasaki Motors (Phils.) Corporation's next set of Production Engineering Staff is expected to:

• Conduct technical visit / inspection / auditing at local vendors or suppliers
• Design Jigs & Fixtures, customized machines and equipment use for motorcycle assembly
• Conduct feasibility studies and set-up standard operating procedures for machines, equipment and work processes
• Provision of operation standards prior to introduction of new motorcycle and updating of the said document for those existing model
• Study and prepare production requirements prior to introduction of new model such as layout and process flow
• Analyze the ned for improvement of certain jigs, tools, molds & dies, machines & equipment use in motorcycle part fabrication and assembly, aiming to increase productivity and efficiency
• Exercise the use of statistical quality control and reliability engineering
• Assist production line in some technical problems encountered concerning process, jigs, tools machines and equipment that are affecting the operation
• Assist R&D for the parts development in local suppliers from the start of tooling stage development and trial

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering(Being a Registered Mechanical Engineer is a plus)
• Preferably with knowledge on motorcycle manufacturing and processes
• Knowledgeable on Jigs, Tools, and Die Design usingAutoCad
• Proficient in MS Office
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
• Preferably with non-professional/professional driver’s license
