Java-Tech is hiring a Quantity Surveyor/Cost Estimator to minimize project costs while maximizing value. You will collaborate with project managers, site engineers, and subcontractors from design to final account closure.
Responsibilities include cost estimation, BOQ preparation, procurement support, variation claims, progress valuations, and monthly CVR/ budget reporting. Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience is required.
In this role, it is the responsibility to minimize project expenses, maximize value for money, and ensure that all deliverables adhere to strict budget boundaries. You will work closely with project managers, site engineers, and external subcontractors from the initial design phase through to final account closure.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation & Take-offs: Conduct detailed material take-offs and quantity measurements from architectural, structural, and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing) drawings
BOQ Preparation: Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQ), cost plans, and pre-bid tender documents. Procurement Support: Evaluate subcontractor quotes, assist in supplier negotiations, and draft material procurement schedules
Variation Claims: Identify, measure, and price variation orders, tracking structural or material changes against the baseline budget
Progress Valuations: Conduct regular site visits to verify actual work accomplished for interim monthly billing and subcontractor payment certificates
Financial Reporting: Generate monthly Cost-Value Reconciliations (CVR) and project budget forecasts for top management review.
Years of Experience: Minimum of 2–5 years of progressive experience as a site or office-based Quantity Surveyor or Cost Estimator.
