Archipelago Builders Corporation in Parañaque City is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to interpret drawings, prepare and monitor BOQs, and manage monthly billing and cost reporting.
You will coordinate with the project team, oversee material delivery, and handle variation orders while maintaining records and ensuring subcontractor performance. 1–2 years’ experience and a Civil Engineering degree are preferred; immediate start is available.
The Quantity Surveyor is in charge of the tasks below:
Ability to accurately interpret the drawings (Contract drawings and For Construction Drawings)
Familiarity with the materials and technical specifications for the project
Knowledge of the law of contract, contract agreement, and contract conditions
Ability to prepare, properly coordinate, monitor and maintain records of project technical and financial documents
Able to write in clear technical language that will not be misunderstood
Sound knowledge in building materials, construction techniques/ methodology, and customs prevailing in industry
Knowledge in quantity take-off for civil, structural, architectural and MEPF Works
Knowledge in construction prices (Labor, plant and materials)
Ability to prepare and accurately calculate Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
Knowledge in preparing monthly billing to the client
Able to prepare monthly cost report for the project
Ability to identify and process variation orders to Client and Subcontractor
Knowledge in preparing monthly billing for Subcontractor
Ability to monitor, control, and maintain records of materials delivery and subcontractor's accomplishment
Able to prepare and apply contra-charges to other parties and ensure performance of subcontractors against sub-contract conditions
Able to prepare value engineering/cost value analysis and perform cost control
Prepare and process Final Account under main contract agreement and Sub-contract Agreement
Able to finalize measurement details and cost with the Client QS
Able to prepare cash flow forecasting in collaboration with the Project Manager
Knowledge of computer programs (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, CAD, Planswift, etc)
Ability to convey complete information to operation staff (Site and HO)
Punctual in meeting deadlines
Attends meetings as required
Assists with the project schedule preparation and update in the absence of OE
Coordinates with sub-contractor, supplier, engineer and other project team to resolve project challenges and conflicts
At least 1- 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position;
Must be a graduate of BS in Civil Engineering;
With strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, as well as an eye for detail;
Results-oriented team player with strong interpersonal skills;
Willing to be assigned to project site in Parañaque City;
Amenable to commute/relocate or living near/within Parañaque City;

The company was established in 1965, engaging in General Building Construction under the name Archipelago Builders. The office started from renting a room of a building at Rizal Avenue, Sta. Cruz, Manila and the Warehouse / Steel Shop were located at Old Samson Road, Balintawak, Quezon City.
Started with a Building Contractor-Category “C” by Professional Regulations Commission, it was later recognized as a General Building Contractor-Class “B”. In the year 1975-1976 the company doubled its personnel, rented another three (3) rooms in the same building and added another three (3) compartment warehouses and steel shop for its expanded operations for both public and private sectors. In 1977, the company was recognized as a General Engineering and General Building-Category “A”, engaged in both horizontal and vertical construction.
In 1979, Archipelago Builders started construction of its own three and a one half (3 -1/2) storey building at No.29 North Avenue, Diliman, Quezon City, to house its main office and diversified businesses like the restaurant, construction supply and real state.
In 1987, as the company continued to grow, the category “A” further upgraded to Category ’AA’
In 1998, the year of economic crisis, inflation and political strife in the country, fortunately, Archipelago Builders was awarded quite a number of projects in Metro Manila, Southern Luzon and Visayas. Because of this, Archipelago Builders was finally upgraded to Category ‘AAA’.
