Vineyard Construction is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor to drive cost management across multiple construction projects. The role emphasizes cost control, accurate BOQ preparation, and robust procurement oversight to ensure budget adherence and value engineering opportunities.
Ideal candidates possess a civil engineering or quantity surveying background, with strong software proficiency (AutoCAD, CostX, Primavera P6, MS Excel) and excellent analytical and supervisory capabilities for
Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, or a related field.
With relevant experience in quantity surveying, cost control, and contract administration.
Proficient in AutoCAD, CostX, Primavera P6, MS Excel, and other project costing software.
Strong understanding of construction materials, BOQ preparation, cost estimation, and budget monitoring.
Excellent analytical, supervisory, and communication skills.
Support organizational cost management objectives by developing and implementing effective cost control and value engineering strategies.
Contribute to high-level project planning through budgeting, forecasting, and financial risk assessment.
Establish and promote QS standards, procedures, and best practices across all projects.
Provide strategic cost insights and recommendations to management for decision-making and project optimization.
Assist in long-term planning related to procurement strategies, resource allocation, and cost efficiency initiatives.
Supervise the QS team in preparing accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, cost estimates, and material schedules.
Review, validate, and approve cost proposals, tender documents, subcontractor quotations, and bid comparisons.
Oversee procurement planning, vendor evaluations, and supplier negotiation processes.
Monitor and review cost control activities, including variation orders, claims, cost updates, and budget alignment.
Coordinate with project managers, site engineers, and contractors to ensure proper contract compliance and cost accuracy.
Ensure all QS processes are implemented consistently, including documentation, evaluation procedures, and reporting standards.
Identify and address cost discrepancies, budget deviations, or documentation issues.
Review cost reports, progress valuations, and financial summaries prepared by the team to ensure accuracy and completeness.
Perform detailed measurements, quantity take-offs, and cost computations when needed to support project timelines.
Prepare and update BOQs, material schedules, progress billings, payment certificates, and cost monitoring sheets.
Conduct site visits to validate quantities, material usage, and work progress.
Track and reconcile actual costs against budgeted estimates and update cost data regularly.
Draft and process change orders, variation claims, and contract amendments.
Maintain organized and complete documentation of cost records, contracts, purchase requests, and project files.
Generate regular cost reports, financial analyses, and project updates for internal and external stakeholders.
Support daily QS operations to ensure the timely preparation and submission of all cost-related documents.
