Job summary

SMC Integrated Farm Specialist Inc. is seeking a Quality Management Representative (QMR) to oversee, implement, and maintain the organization’s QMS for poultry processing. The role ensures live receiving, dressing, evisceration, chilling, deboning, cut‑up, packing and storage meet quality and food safety standards.

The QMR will lead QA inspectors, microbiology analysts, and sanitation personnel, coordinate audits with NMIS, BFAR, FDA, and ensure CAPAs are implemented to prevent deviations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field is required.
• Minimum 5 years managerial experience in Quality Management.
• Experience in poultry processing preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee QA and food safety programs (GMP, SSOP, SOPs, HACCP, BAP, ISO).
• Lead internal audits and coordinate with NMIS, BFAR, FDA, DA, DOH.

• Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, or related fields.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 5 years managerial experience in Quality Management, preferably in the poultry processing / dressing plan industry.

SKILLS/KNOWLEDGE:

• Skilled in process review, time and motion study, and productivity improvement.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Excel and PowerPoint.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

- The Quality Management Representative (QMR) is responsible for overseeing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with regulatory and industry standards for poultry processing. The QMR ensures that all processes—from live receiving, dressing, evisceration, chilling, deboning, cut‑up, packing and storage—consistently meet quality, food safety, and customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Quality Assurance & Food Safety

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA programs (GMP, SSOP, SOPs, HACCP, BAP, ISO standards).
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with food safety protocols.
• Lead internal audits and prepare for external audits from regulatory agencies (NMIS, BFAR, FDA, DA, DOH).
• Monitor microbiological and chemical testing results and ensure corrective actions.

2. Process Control & Product Quality

• Oversee product quality from live bird receiving to dressing, cutting, deboning, and storage.
• Ensure proper cold chain management (chilling, freezing, handling, and transport).
• Conduct root cause analysis for deviations and implement preventive measures.

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Maintain accurate QA documentation (inspection reports, audit reports, temperature logs, calibration records).
• Prepare monthly quality performance reports and improvement recommendations.

4. Team Leadership

• Supervise QA inspectors, microbiology analysts, and sanitation personnel.
• Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with policies.

5. Regulatory & Customer Compliance

• Liaise with regulatory authorities (NMIS, BFAR, FDA).
• Handle customer complaints, product concerns, and quality claims.
• Implement corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
