SMC-IFSI is engaged in the management, operation, and maintenance of farms, hatcheries, slaughterhouses, fishpond, storage and various facilities and equipment for breeding, hatching, raising, growing, production, slaughter and / or processing of poultry. Fowls, hogs, livestock and other kinds of animals and foodstuffs and other activities allied or incidental thereto such as but not limited to animal feeds, nutrition, and healthcare.

Qualifications:
- Educational Background: Graduate of any 4 – 5 years course in Engineering is advantage but not required, Food Technology or other related field.
- Work Experience: At least two (2) years of supervisory or managerial experience.
Skills and Knowledge:
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP), Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points (HACCP), and applicable food safety regulations.
- Knowledge of poultry processing operations, product quality standards, microbiological controls, and sanitation programs.
- Familiarity with SAP systems, inventory management, variance analysis, and quality reporting is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision‑making skills.
- Excellent attention to detail with the ability to analyze and interpret quality metrics, inspection results, and laboratory reports.
- Effective oral and written communication skills.
- Excellent leadership, coaching, and team management abilities.
- Highly organized and capable of working under pressure.
- Willing to travel anywhere in the country as required by business operations.
Job Description:
The Quality Control Head is responsible for leading the Quality Control Department and overseeing the development, implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of quality control and food safety systems within the poultry dressing plant. This role ensures that all products, processes, and operations comply with company standards, customer specifications, regulatory requirements, and internationally recognized food safety standards.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, monitor, and continuously improve the plant's Quality Control and Food Safety Management Systems.
- Ensure compliance with customer product standards, product specifications, and regulatory requirements.
- Lead the implementation and monitoring of GMP, SSOP, HACCP, and other food safety and quality assurance programs throughout the facility.
- Supervise and manage the Quality Control team to ensure accurate inspections, testing, monitoring, and documentation.
- Monitor product quality throughout all stages of poultry processing, from receiving live birds to finished product dispatch.
- Ensure proper sanitation, cleanliness, and hygiene of production areas, processing equipment, wastewater treatment facilities, rendering plants, and other support facilities.
- Coordinate product inspections, laboratory testing, environmental monitoring, and verification activities.
- Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, product deviations, and non‑conformities, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
- Analyze quality performance indicators, inspection results, and production data, and prepare reports for management.
- Coordinate internal audits, regulatory inspections, customer audits, and third‑party certification audits.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Warehouse, and Supply Chain teams to improve product quality and operational efficiency.
- Conduct quality and food safety training programs for employees to promote compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements.
- Ensure compliance with Occupational Safety and Health policies and promote a safe working environment.
- Enforce company policies, rules, and regulations while maintaining professional and ethical standards.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce product defects, minimize waste, improve customer satisfaction, and enhance operational performance.
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by Management in support of company objectives and the employee's professional development.
