Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Food Technology, Animal Science, Agriculture, Veterinary Medicine, Biology, Chemistry, or related).
• Minimum 5 years managerial experience in Quality Management, preferably in poultry processing/dressing plant industry.
• Proficient in QA programs and regulatory standards, with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) for poultry processing to meet quality and food safety requirements.
• Lead QA inspections, audits, and CAPA efforts; ensure compliance with GMP, SSOP, HACCP, ISO standards.
• Monitor product quality from live receipt to finished product and manage documentation and reporting.
• Liaise with regulatory authorities and manage customer quality concerns and claims.

SMC-IFSI is engaged in the management, operation, and maintenance of farms, hatcheries, slaughterhouses, fishpond, storage and various facilities and equipment for breeding, hatching, raising, growing, production, slaughter and / or processing of poultry. Fowls, hogs, livestock and other kinds of animals and foodstuffs and other activities allied or incidental thereto such as but not limited to animal feeds, nutrition, and healthcare.

JOB DESCRIPTION

- The Quality Management Representative (QMR) is responsible for overseeing, implementing, and maintaining the organization’s Quality Management System (QMS) in compliance with regulatory and industry standards for poultry processing. The QMR ensures that all processes—from live receiving, dressing, evisceration, chilling, deboning, cut‑up, packing, and storage—consistently meet quality, food safety, and customer requirements.

Duties and Responsibilities

1. Quality Assurance & Food Safety

• Develop, implement, and maintain QA programs (GMP, SSOP, SOPs, HACCP, BAP, ISO standards).


• Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with food safety protocols.


• Lead internal audits and prepare for external audits from regulatory agencies (NMIS, BFAR, FDA, DA, DOH).


• Monitor microbiological and chemical testing results and ensure corrective actions.

2. Process Control & Product Quality

• Oversee product quality from live bird receiving to dressing, cutting, deboning, and storage.


• Ensure proper cold chain management (chilling, freezing, handling, and transport).


• Conduct root cause analysis for deviations and implement preventive measures.

3. Documentation & Reporting

• Prepare monthly quality performance reports and improvement recommendations.


• Supervise QA inspectors, microbiology analysts, and sanitation personnel.


• Monitor team performance and ensure compliance with policies.

5. Regulatory & Customer Compliance

• Liaise with regulatory authorities (NMIS, BFAR, FDA).


• Handle customer complaints, product concerns, and quality claims.


• Implement corrective and preventive action plans (CAPA).
