JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
SAFETY OF ONESELF AND WORK OPERATION
- Keep safe of self and put safety of work operation in priority.
- Be concerned on safety of environment and other team members safety.
- Supports and follow-up improvement activities for Safety objectives of the company.
PROCESS DESIGN DEVELOPMENT
- Acquire knowledge about Standards of Quality (such as ANSI/BHMA standards for Grade 1, 2, and 3 mechanical and electronic smart locksets) and contributes to the design proponent for integration in the process.
- Works closely with the user to grasp their continual needs, provides recommendation or judgment based on risk-based thinking (including DFMEA and PFMEA frameworks) to develop effective work procedures or instruction.
- Integrates high-density precision requirements into early-stage assembly layouts, specifically for core components like cylinders, latches, deadbolts, and decorative finishes.
- Leads the Quality Planning for New Product Introductions (NPI), participating in early-stage design reviews to drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) and Design for Assembly (DFA).
- Establishes the initial manufacturing inspection standards, gauge designs, and testing methodologies required to successfully transition prototypes into scaled mass production.
C. PROCESS DESIGN REVIEW, VALIDATION, AND FAN OUT
Review of the Process Design
- Reviews Change in Process Design both document and actual process, verifying that tolerance stacks and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) metrics match mechanical blueprint requirements.
- Supports documentation and signs off on the PQP milestones and executes the formal Production Approval Process (PPAP) for all new NPI tooling, casting dies, and internal sub-assemblies.
2.Line Audit
- Coordinates Regular Line Audit for Improvement and Compliance in the Process Design or Standards, evaluating mechanical assembly tolerances and critical-to-quality (CTQ) physical dimensions.
- Audits pilot run lots during NPI phase to identify manufacturing bottlenecks, assembly interferences, or structural quality flaws prior to full-scale release.
3.Validation & Fan-Out of Improvement Actions on Process Design
- Substantiates the Effectiveness of Actions made in the process in terms of CAPA or Continual Improvement due to product claims, line audit findings or internal issues.
- Conducts follow through for fan-out of change, applying Statistical Process Control (SPC) and Process Capability Analysis to prove the long-term statistical control of optimized lines and new NPI process flows.
- Reviews, approves, and validates First Article Inspection (FAI) reports for new tooling setups, design engineering changes, and multi-cavity casting mold approvals before allowing volume production.
CUSTOMER CLAIM FACILITATION AND COORDINATION
- Receives customer claim report from customer and communicates to all concerned personnel following the company method of communication.
- Update CAPA master list in real time manner, keeping precise historical tracking of warranty returns and end-user failures.
- Formulates and implements interim action and sends the results to customer to ensure immediate safety, structural integrity, and brand containment.
- Investigates the problem and analyzes the root cause by executing forensic mechanical teardowns, component evaluations, and the structured 5F failure mapping analysis methodology (Focus area definition, finding root causes, fixing defects, following up on controls, and fanning out solutions across lines).
- Finalizes and summarizes overall analysis and action items into a report for approval.
- 0 recordable accidents due to execution of Quality Assurance Activities from the plan.
- Validates the action to customer claim taking into full consideration about long-term effectiveness and higher level of improvement in the concerned process.
PRODUCTION ABNORMALITY MANAGEMENT & YIELD OPTIMIZATION
- Monitors occurrences of abnormality on the production line, including structural casting defects, tooling wear, machining drift, or surface finishing variations (plating and coating).
- Seeks and reviews the analysis and action plans of action in charge for each abnormality.
- Validates implemented actions for effectiveness in solving the abnormality using rigorous lab validations (e.g., mechanical life-cycle fatigue testing, torque/force validation, and salt spray corrosion testing).
- Tracks and analyzes production yield performance, establishing baseline First Time Yield (FTY) and First Pass Yield (FPY) goals across casting, machining, and final lockset assembly lines.
- Leads root-cause investigations for gaps between FTY and FPY, targeting hidden factory costs caused by scrap, rework loops, and offline adjustments to optimize true operational process capacity.
