ATLANTIC GRAINS INC. in Laguna, Philippines, seeks a Junior QA Analyst to monitor raw materials, in‑process products and finished goods for compliance with food safety and quality standards.
You will conduct laboratory testing, document results and support audits within the Food Safety Management System. The ideal candidate has a science degree and 1–2 years in QA or laboratory testing in food manufacturing, with knowledge of HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP and GLP.
We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Junior Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst to join our Quality Assurance team. In this role, you will be responsible for monitoring and evaluating the quality of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to ensure compliance with food safety, quality, and regulatory standards. You will perform laboratory testing, investigate quality concerns, prepare reports and documentation, support audits, and help maintain the company's Food Safety Management System.
Conduct quality monitoring and laboratory analysis of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods using rapid and conventional testing methods.
Perform product sampling, testing, calibration, and verification of laboratory equipment to ensure accurate results.
Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, product returns, and food safety concerns, and recommend appropriate corrective actions.
Prepare Certificates of Analysis (COA), pre-shipment samples, and customer quality documentation.
Monitor laboratory inventory, including chemicals, glassware, equipment, and testing supplies.
Maintain accurate quality records, reports, trend analyses, and documentation in compliance with company standards.
Support compliance with Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), HACCP, FSSC 22000, HALAL, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.
Participate in internal and external audits, supplier audits, and corrective action monitoring.
Operate and update electronic quality management and reporting systems.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and Good Laboratory Practices (GLP) within the laboratory.
Promote a strong food safety and quality culture while performing other duties assigned by the immediate superior.
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Food Technology, Food Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or a related field.
At least 1-2 years of experience in Quality Assurance, food manufacturing, or laboratory testing. Experience in a food manufacturing environment is preferred.
Knowledge of laboratory testing procedures, food safety standards, and quality management systems.
Familiarity with HACCP, FSSC 22000, GMP, GLP, and related food safety programs is an advantage.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications and comfortable using electronic reporting or quality management systems.
