Responsibilities
The Junior QA Specialist supports the Quality Assurance team in carrying out quality assurance activities. The role is responsible for monitoring and verifying the proper implementation of standard operating procedures, work instructions, and established quality and safety standards within operations. This position also assists in data analysis and troubleshooting quality-related issues to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
Major Duties And Responsibilities
- Support the QA Manager and QA Supervisor to develop, implement, monitor, and maintain food safety programs that comply with industry regulations, company standards, and client requirements.
- Maintain current food safety, quality and regulatory knowledge through ongoing training and educational opportunities.
- Initiate the generation of new procedures/policies to support change and system improvement.
- Monitor swab test plan and conduct swab tests for employees and food contact surfaces as planned.
- Generate Certificate of Analysis ensuring all details are correct or align with the actual product prior submission to the QA Supervisor.
- Conduct water testing to ensure chlorine level is within the standard range and suggest process improvements if necessary.
- Monitor air quality and suggest process improvements if necessary.
- Generate reports on results of swab test, water test, and air quality test.
- Conduct troubleshooting of in‑line issues and concerns if needed.
- Conduct supermarket audit, generate report and suggest process improvements if necessary.
- Consistently report problems with regard to Food Safety Management System.
Minor Duties And Responsibilities
- Perform Food Safety & Quality System Audit, as appointed.
- Report food safety deviations (actual incidents and near misses) and issue PRP violation tickets if necessary.
- Give directions to food handlers on matters relating to food safety & quality.
Job Requirements
- Graduate of BS Food Technology / Chemistry / Biology / Chemical Engineering / Technology or related degree or equivalent.
- Experience working in food manufacturing industry, especially in the field of baking (fresh graduates considered).
- Knowledge of HACCP, GHP, GMP, SSOP, ISO 9001, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000.
- Knowledge and experience in Internal Audit & cGMP / Food Safety Audit or relevant inspection.
