Job summary

Emerson is seeking a Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Manila to join a global software group. You will blend hands-on testing, automation, and continuous improvement within an Agile team to deliver high-quality software experiences.

You’ll work with cross-functional teams to advocate quality, translate requirements into robust test plans, and drive reliable product releases across platforms and integrations.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of software quality assurance experience.
• Experience with web-based or enterprise software.
• Experience with automated testing frameworks.
• Experience with test design, defect management, and risk-based testing.

Responsibilities

• Champion quality throughout the software delivery lifecycle by identifying risks early and supporting informed release decisions.
• Develop understanding of software platform, customer workflows, integrations, and operational use cases to ensure effective test coverage.
• Translate business and technical requirements into comprehensive test strategies for functional, integration, regression and end-to-end scenarios.
• Execute exploratory, functional, regression, API, integration, and end-to-end testing activities while documenting results and communicating outcomes clearly.
• Investigate, document, and verify software defects, driving effective resolution with stakeholders.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated tests to improve efficiency and release confidence.
• Collaborate with developers, product owners, and subject matter experts to improve requirements clarity and testability early in development.
• Utilize AI-enabled tools to support test design, automation, data creation, and defect investigation while validating outputs for accuracy.
• Analyze testing trends and quality metrics to identify opportunities for product and process improvements.
• Collaborate with product management, development, UX, architecture, operations, and support to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Actively participate in Agile, Scrum, and SAFe ceremonies to promote quality practices.
