Job summary

General Metal Container Corporation of the Philippines (GEMECO) in Quezon City seeks a quality control supervisor to develop and implement QC procedures, monitor standards, and analyze data for continuous improvement. The role includes supervising QC staff and maintaining documentation to ensure regulatory compliance.

The ideal candidate holds an engineering degree, has at least 3 years of supervisory experience, and demonstrates strong analytical and organizational skills with knowledge of ISO,

Qualifications

• Graduate of engineering field or equivalent.
• With at least 3 years of work experience in a supervisory function.
• Knowledgeable in various quality control procedures and QC tools.
• With at least basic knowledge in ISO, HACCP and GMP.
• Proactive and results-oriented.
• Highly analytical and organized.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control procedures to ensure product quality.
• Monitor and review quality standards and data, including defects and customer complaints.
• Analyze data, provide insights and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Supervise and train QC staff, ensuring compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Prepare and maintain QC documentation and reports.

GEMECO is a packaging company engaged in the manufacture of tin cans for infant dietetics, beverages, meat, fish, fruits, vegetables, and other food products.

GEMECO’s customers include: Angel Milk, Alaska Milk, 555 Sardines, Argentina Corned Beef, Century Tuna, Ligo Sardines, Purefoods Hormel - San Miguel, Swift, Virginia Foods, and Youngstown

Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement quality control procedures, methods, and techniques to ensure the quality of products and services.

• Monitor and review quality standards and data by recording quality defects, product reliability, and customer complaints.

• Analyses data, provide insights and recommendations, and evaluate corrective measures or solutions to improve performance or compliance and avoid problems from occurring again.

• Supervise and train quality control staff, ensuring adherence to documented procedures and regulatory requirements.

• Prepare and maintain quality control documentation and reports.

Requirements:

• Graduate of any Engineering field or its equivalent

• With at least 3 years of work experience in supervisory function

• Knowledgeable in various quality control procedures and QC tools

• With at least basic knowledge in ISO, HACCP and GMP

• Proactive and results-oriented

• Highly analytical and organized
